The Diamond Resorts World Mastercard has an offer for 2,500 Diamond Plus bonus points when you make your first card purchase. We value these points to be worth around $25. The bonus value is meager, even with the card’s low cost in consideration. See our list for more travel credit cards including the Hilton Honors American Express Card.
Diamond Resorts owns almost 400 vacation destinations around the world. If you’re a regular guest with this timeshare company, you should consider the Diamond Resorts World Mastercard. Besides costing nothing to carry, it offers double points on Diamond Resorts purchases and rewards high spenders.
But if you’re not into timeshares, you’ll want to consider a general travel rewards card instead.
*The Diamond Resorts World Mastercard is issued by Barclays. Barclays also offers great sign-up bonuses for its Checking/Savings accounts.

Diamond Resorts World Card 2,500 Bonus Diamond Plus Points Offer
Take advantage of the Diamond Resorts World card’s introductory offer: 2,500 bonus Diamond Plus points. My valuation puts these points at around $25 in value (more on that below).
To qualify, charge one purchase to your card. There’s no spend amount or time limit to worry about.
What Are Diamond Plus Points Worth?
Like many other rewards cards, your points’ worth depends on how you use them. On average, a Diamond Plus point is worth $0.01. That’s on par with the average points value across different credit cards.
You can use your Diamond Plus points for statement credits toward:
- Diamond Resorts purchases ($25 or more)
- Airfare ($50 or more)
- Car rental purchases ($50 or more)
You must apply the statement credit less than 120 days from making the transaction. You can also redeem points for:
- Gift cards
- Travel through BarclaysUS.com
But you’ll get the best value for your points by using them for statement credits.
Diamond Resorts World Card Spend Bonus
Besides the introductory offer, you’ll also get a spend bonus. Earn an additional 500 Diamond Plus points for every $2,000 you spend with your card. This bonus is capped at 5,000 points a year, so you won’t earn extra rewards after you hit $20,000 in spending annually.
If you’re a regular with Diamond Resorts, you can’t go wrong with the Diamond Resorts World Mastercard. It gives you a pretty good deal when you stay at Diamond Resort timeshares. Plus a 500-point bonus for every $2,000 you spend.
But if you want more flexibility, then you’ll probably want to choose a credit card with general travel rewards.
