The United℠ Business Card has a 100,000 bonus miles offer after you spend $10,000 on purchases in the first 3 months your account is open. We value these 100k bonus miles at around $1,400. Compare this to other top card bonuses.
The United Business credit card is actually pretty versatile. Thanks to expanded bonus categories that include United Airlines, local transit and commuting, restaurant, gas station and office supply store purchases.
It has an annual fee of $99.
If you prioritize flexibility over United-specific features, a generic business travel rewards/cash back rewards card might suit you better.
This business version differs a bit from its non-business counterpart, the United℠ Explorer Card.
*The United Business Card is issued by Chase Bank. Chase also offers great sign-up bonuses for its Checking/Savings accounts.

Here are some ideas on meeting the spending requirement:
What Are MileagePlus Miles Worth?
Like many other airline-branded credit cards, your miles’ worth depends on how you use them (i.e. flight time, destination, class, etc). The value of one MileagePlus mile ranges from $0.005 to $0.021. On average, each MileagePlus mile is worth around $0.014. Using this figure, 100k miles have an approximate $1,400 value.
You can redeem your MileagePlus miles for:
- Flights & upgrades (United Airlines & Star Alliance partners)
- Travel (hotel stays, car rentals, cruises)
- Enhanced travel (United Club membership, WiFi, etc.)
- Gift cards
- Subscriptions (magazines & newspapers)
To maximize the value of your rewards, redeem them for flights and seat upgrades on United and Star Alliance partners. All other options will give you a per-mile value of less than $0.01.

United Business Card Top Features
As a cardmember, you can take advantage of all the following benefits:
- Free first checked bag. This benefit applies to you and one travel companion. The first checked bag on a United Airlines flight costs $30. If you’re traveling with one other person, you could be saving $120 on a roundtrip flight. That’ll cover the cost of the card for a year.
- Priority boarding. You and your travel companions on the same reservation are invited to board United-operated flights before general boarding. To unlock this feature, make sure to provide your MileagePlus number on the reservation.
- United Club passes. Two one-time vouchers are deposited into your MileagePlus account after opening and each year on your account anniversary. Take the time to relax before your flight with complimentary beverages, snacks and amenities like workspaces, free WiFi and more. Each pass is valued at $59. All together, this benefit is worth $118 annually.
- Annual United travel credit. You’ll earn a $100 annual United travel credit after 7 flight purchases of $100 or more.
Add employee cards to your account at no extra cost, earning even more rewards from your staff’s spending.
You’ll also have the power to set spending limits for each card. So you can better manage your company’s budget.
The United Business Card won’t incur foreign transaction fees when you spend abroad. This fee is typically 2.7-3.0% per transaction.
The United Business Card is an airline rewards card that offers accelerated rewards on non-airline spending. Along with United-specific travel perks, the card is a great choice for any business that requires frequent travels with United Airlines.
But if you’re not too crazy about United Airlines, or you want more rewards flexibility, you should consider other options.
What’s The Competition?
Below are some of the top competitors to the United Business credit card you should consider.
General business travel cards like the Ink Business Preferred℠ Credit Card from Chase and Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business have similar annual fees and nice sign-up bonuses. You’ll earn travel rewards that aren’t tied to any airline or hotel.
If you’re not as concerned with maximizing travel rewards, a general cash back business card might be a good fit. The Ink Business Cash℠ Credit Card and Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business are two top choices.
