How Juno Works

Juno is a platform for online banking (formerly OnJuno).

Juno has two different kinds of bank accounts. Juno Basic is the free version, and Juno Metal is the paid version where $250 in monthly direct deposits will get the monthly fee waived.

Juno makes it easy for immigrants to qualify. You only need your Social Security number and passport to open an account.

You can get 5% cash back on cash or cryptocurrency purchases on up to $500 in spending with the Juno Basic account and on up to $6,000 with the Juno Metal account. In your Juno Wallet, you can also earn up to 3% per year on USDC and 6% per year on BTC and ETH.

There are 85,000 Allpoint and MoneyPass ATMs around the country that you can use for free. If you use an ATM outside of Juno’s network, Juno won’t charge you, but the ATM provider might. In this case, Juno refunds one Basic account fee per month and three Metal account fees per month.

Through Juno’s partner bank, Evolve Bank & Trust, your deposits are FDIC-insured for up to $250,000.

How To Open An Account With Juno

You can sign up for an account on the Juno website. During your application, you will be asked for the following:

• Mobile number

• Social security number
