How Lime Works
Lime rental bikes, e-assist bikes and electric scooters are available to take you across campus or across town. You never have to worry about traffic or finding a parking spot. Simply leave your Lime ride safely at your destination. Here’s how it works:
- Launch the Lime app.
- Find a nearby Lime-S (electric scooter), Lime-E (e-assist bike) or LimeBike on the map.
- Unlock your Lime ride by scanning the QR code or entering the ID.
- Ride to your destination.
- Park and lock your ride safely out of the way of pedestrians.
Lime Pricing
Lime charges a fixed rate to unlock your ride, plus a per minute fee as you ride. Rates and promotions vary by city, day of the week and time of the day. That said, a Lime scooter usually goes for a $1 unlock fee + $0.15 per minute.

Juicing Lime Rides
Lime relies on the community to collect and charge Lime-S scooters overnight. You could earn up to $150 a day as a Lime Juicer, with immediate payments in the morning. To participate, fill out the form on the Lime Juicer page.
