Coast Rewards is the Coast Hotels loyalty rewards program. As a member, you’ll earn points with every stay, which you can later redeem for free nights, upgrades, airline miles and more. Plus, the program provides a range of exclusive perks every time you visit, as well as discounted member rates. Keep reading for everything you need to know about Coast Rewards.

Coast Rewards has three status tiers: Silver, Gold and Platinum. To move up a tier, you need to stay a certain number of nights within one year:

Earning Coast Rewards Points
Earn Coast Rewards points on every pre-tax dollar you spend at Coast Hotels. Plus, rack up even more points when you dine in a Coast hotel restaurant and charge the balance to your room.
Unlike Marriott Bonvoy, Hilton Honors and other hotel loyalty programs, Coast Rewards does not have a co-branded card, dining program or other additional ways to earn reward points.
Redeeming Coast Rewards Points
Although Coast Rewards doesn’t give you a whole lot of ways to earn points, they offer plenty of options when it comes time for redemption. Use your Coast Rewards points for:

- Coast Hotels virtual gift cards ($0.025/point value)
- Coast Hotels upgrades (point value depends on accommodation)
- Coast Hotels vacation packages (point value depends on accommodation)

- Aeroplan points (1:1 ratio)
- Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan miles (1:1 ratio)
- Amazon, Best Buy, Gap, Macy’s, Old Navy gift cards ($0.025/point value)
- Charitable donations ($0.025/point value)
For most Coast Rewards redemptions, you’ll get at least a $0.025 value per point.
Coast Rewards Tips & Tricks
Choose what kind of points you want to earn. Update your earning preference via your online Coast Rewards account to automatically receive Aeroplan Points, Alaska Airlines Mileage or More Rewards, instead of Coast Rewards points.
Don’t forget to check Member Offers. Save money with exclusive deals and rates, such as free nights at a Coast hotel and gift cards to popular retailers.
Keep your Coast Rewards account active. Simply stay with Coast Hotels at least one night within 24 months, otherwise your points will expire. There is no way to reinstate them.
Bottom Line
Coast Rewards isn’t the most valuable hotel loyalty program out there. The hotel group’s footprint is minuscule, and earning potential is quite low. Hence, we’d only recommend joining Coast Rewards if you like to stay at Coast Hotels, and you’re also loyal to either Air Canada or Alaska Airlines.
