How to Earn the Bonus

What Counts as New-to-Schwab Money?

Qualifying money must come from an outside financial institution and cannot already be held by Charles Schwab Corporation or one of its affiliates. Moving existing Schwab balances between Schwab accounts does not count. You may make one or several deposits, but all qualifying funds must post to Investor Checking by November 10.

The required balance must remain in Investor Checking every day through December 25. Even a one-day dip may reduce the reward to a lower tier. Money held in the linked brokerage account does not satisfy this checking promotion.

Eligibility and Exclusions

• Clients who already have an Investor Checking account are not eligible.
• All owners must be U.S. citizens or U.S. resident aliens with a U.S. residential and mailing address.
• U.S. territories are excluded.
• Eligible registrations include individual, joint tenants, tenants in common, community property, and trust accounts.
• Limit one cash bonus per client, regardless of how many eligible accounts are opened.
• The primary checking owner is the person who receives the bonus.

When Will the Bonus Be Paid?

If you complete the requirements, Schwab says the bonus will be deposited into Investor Checking within one to two statement cycles. The account must still be open and in good standing, without restrictions or a negative balance.
