Capital One is working on a new airport lounge concept called “Capital One Landings.” The first two locations will be New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA) and Washington’s Ronald Reagan National Airport (DCA). They also announced that the new airport lounges will also be built at DEN, DFW, and IAD.
Update 11/26/2022: Capital One announced plans to launch another location at Las Vegas Airport (LAS).
About The Airport Lounge Concept
Capital One Landing is a new lounge concept that puts food first. In partnership with celebrity chef José Andrés, Capital One will focus on bringing high-quality small plates to the new Capital One Landing lounges.
Capital One Landing is being built in two places. The 10,700-square-foot lounge at New York City’s LaGuardia Terminal B, which was finished earlier this year, will be on one of the skybridges. It will have both indoor and outdoor space with views of the airfield and the Manhattan skyline. At Reagan National Airport (DCA) in Washington, D.C., a 5,483-square-foot area is being built in Terminal 2, past the security checkpoint, where National Hall and Concourse D meet. This area will be easy to get to from Concourses B, C, D, and E.
Information about opening times and how to get into the lounge will be released closer to the opening.
Bottom Line
These new airport lounges from Capital One will focus on tapas-style dining concept from chef José Andrés. We don’t have the exact opening dates for these new lounges but I’m already excited for the people that will be able to enjoy the experience.
If you enjoy spending your time before a flight at an airport lounge, be sure to carry a credit card with Priority Pass privileges. The Chase Sapphire Reserve and The Platinum Card from American Express are two that offer airport lounge benefits.
