Wells Fargo has two different checking accounts aimed for young newbies of the personal finance world. Teen Checking is designed for those under 18, while the Everyday Student Checking is geared towards those in postsecondary education.

Wells Fargo Student Checking Promotions?
While offers aren’t available all year long, they do come up often enough. The Teen Checking account is typically not eligible for cash bonuses, but the Everyday Checking will be. See all current Wells Fargo Checking bonuses here.
Another big bank that commonly offers bonuses is Chase. See the Chase College CheckingSM bonus here.

No Interest
As with many other youth checking accounts, Wells Fargo Teen and Everyday Student Checking does not yield any interest.
The Impression
Wells Fargo has a great network of nationwide branches and ATMs – great if you prefer to do your banking in person. However, for both the Teen Checking and Everyday Student Checking, you won’t be earning any interest on your deposits.
Teen Checking
The top selling point for this account is its overdraft policy with a fee of just $15 per paid or returned item. Plus, you’ll get hit with that fee no more than twice per day.
Everyday Student Checking
This account is a relatively basic one that offers the services you need without any fancy trimmings. If you can meet the requirements to waive your monthly fee, the Wells Fargo Everyday Student Checking is not a bad choice.
