Czech Airlines is the national airline of the Czech Republic and a SkyTeam member. The carrier focuses primarily on direct connections between Prague and popular European destinations, but also provides service around the world.

See our best credit card bonuses here.

OK Plus is Czech Airlines’ frequent flyer program. Members can earn OK Plus Miles on every flight with Czech Airlines, as well as flights with partner airlines, and more. Redeem your miles for award tickets, additional baggage allowance and access to lounges at Prague Airport. In this guide, we’ll cover everything you need to know about Czech Airlines OK Plus.

Earning OK Plus Miles

Compared to Alaska Airlines Mileage Plan, Delta SkyMiles and other frequent flyer programs based in the United States, earning OK Plus Miles doesn’t come as easily for Americans. Even so, it’s not an impossible feat. Let’s go over all the ways to earn OK Plus Miles below.

Transfer Partner

The best way to earn OK Plus Miles is through their transfer partner. Radisson Rewards members can convert their points to OK Plus Miles at a 10 to 1 ratio.

Radisson Rewards offers two personal credit cards that earns Radisson Rewards points:

  • Radisson Rewards Premier Visa Signature Card. 100,000-point welcome bonus, 10x points at Radisson, 5x points everywhere else. Automatic Gold status, 40,000 anniversary bonus points. $75 annual fee.
  • Radisson Rewards Visa Card. 30,000-point welcome bonus, 3x points at Radisson, 1x points everywhere else. $0 annual fee.

Unfortunately, OK Plus does not have any other transfer partners that are relevant to U.S. residents.

Flights

Earn OK Plus Miles when you fly with Czech Airlines and the following partner airlines:

  • Aeroflot
  • Aerolineas Argentinas
  • Aeromexico
  • Air Europa
  • Air France
  • Alitalia
  • China Airlines
  • China Eastern
  • Delta
  • Etihad
  • Garuda Indonesia
  • Kenya Airways
  • KLM
  • Korean Air
  • MEA
  • SAUDIA
  • TAROM
  • Vietnam Airlines
  • Xiamen Air

The number of OK Miles you earn depends on the distance flown and the type and price of the ticket purchased.

Other Ways

Other ways that Americans can earn OK Plus Miles include:

  • Staying with Best Western, Golden Tulip or Radisson hotels.
  • Hiring rental cars with Avis, Budget, Hertz or Sixt.
  • Subscribing to Golf Digest magazine.

There are more options to earn OK Plus Miles, but they’re not very worthwhile or convenient for those living in the United States

Redeeming OK Plus Miles

OK Plus Miles are often used for award flights with Czech Airlines and partner airlines. Bonus tickets start from as little as 7,000 miles. Other redemption options include higher limits for check-in baggage and access to airport lounges in Prague.

Members can redeem online or by calling the OK Plus Service Center phone number, or at any Czech Airlines office.

OK Plus Miles Expiration

OK Plus Miles expire 36 months from the date they were earned or 36 months from the last Czech Airline flight you took, whichever comes later. No account activity will extend the date of miles expiration.

Exception: OK Plus Silver, Gold and Platinum members enjoy extended validity of miles for the entire period of their elite status.

OK Plus Important Info

Routing rules. Czech Airlines allows a stopover, an open-jaw, and up to eight segments per award flight redemption.

Booking fees/charges. There is a $70 charge for changing or canceling a flight. A $20 fee is incurred for holding an online reservation for up to 14 days before making a payment.

Bottom Line

Czech Airlines OK Plus doesn’t offer a whole lot of ways to earn and burn their miles, so it’s not very useful unless you fly with the carrier on a regular basis.

You might want to have a look at Air France/KLM Flying Blue as well. The loyalty program is also a SkyTeam member, and you can earn Flying Blue Miles by transferring from American Express Membership Rewards®, Capital One® Rewards, Chase Ultimate Rewards® and Citi ThankYou® Rewards. Below are credit cards that will earn you points from those partner programs that you can use to transfer to Flying Blue or other SkyTeam member programs.

The Platinum Card® from American Express has a special offer for 100,000 Membership Rewards points after you spend $6,000 in purchases within your first 6 months.

Membership Rewards® points are some of the most valuable in the market. Redeeming these points by booking travel through American Express or by redeeming for gift cards will give you a standard 1 cent per point value. The 100k bonus points are worth $1,000 going this route.

You can potentially get more value by transferring your points to Membership Rewards travel partners. Using this strategy can get you up to an average value of 2 cents per point. Get around $2,000 in value with 100,000 points this way. Read more on this here.

With this card, earn 5X Membership Rewards® Points for flights booked directly with airlines or with American Express Travel on up to $500,000 on these purchases per calendar year.

The biggest drawback to this card is the $695 annual fee (see Rates & Fees, Terms Apply), which puts it in the premium class of credit cards. The card has a market because it offers premium travel benefits, such as 5X points for flights (up to $500,000 on these purchases) and eligible hotels, access to 40+ Centurion Loung and Studio locations worldwide, up to $200 airline fee credit annually, and an annual Walmart+ membership.
