1. Chase checking account benefit: While not required, becoming a Chase checking account holder with a balance of $250 or more can increase the chances of approval for the Chase Freedom Rise card. It is recommended to open a Chase checking account before applying for the card and deposit the $250 into the account within 48 hours of applying. Existing Chase checking customers can also improve their approval chances by increasing their balance to $250 or more within 48 hours of applying for the Freedom Rise card.
2. Targeted audience: The Chase Freedom Rise card is specifically tailored for individuals who are new to credit and looking to build their credit history.
3. Credit limit increase evaluation: Cardholders will be evaluated for a credit limit increase in as soon as six months.
4. Transition from Chase Freedom Student card: The Chase Freedom Student card will no longer be available for new applicants starting June 11, 2023.
