The PNC Core Visa Credit Card has an offer for $100 bonus cash when you spend $1,000 within the first three billing cycles. This offer is modest compared to the other offers we have listed. However, it comes with no annual fee. The Chase Freedom card offers a comparable introductory bonus and is also a no-annual-fee card.
PNC Core is a simple, low-rate credit card, so it’s a solid option for those who plan to carry a balance. It also offers a long introductory balance transfer and purchase period – 0% APR for 15 billing cycles – giving you ample time to pay off your debt as quickly as possible.
However, the PNC Core Visa card isn’t open to everyone. You must live in a state where the bank operates in order to apply.

PNC Core Card $100 Bonus Cash Offer
Take advantage of the PNC Core card’s $100 bonus offer. To qualify, charge at least $1,000 to your card within the first 3 billing cycles after opening your account.
The offer is only valid if you apply via PNC.com, at a PNC Bank branch or by calling 1-800-762-5684.
Here are some ideas on meeting the spending requirement:
PNC Core Card Introductory APR
The PNC Core card comes with an introductory 0% APR on both balance transfers and purchases for the first 15 billing cycles after account opening. Beyond that, you’ll be subject to a variable APR of 12.24% to 22.24%, depending on your creditworthiness. The post-introductory rate is a relatively low one, which can keep your debt from spiraling out of control.
Late payments will result in loss of the introductory APR. Plus, you’ll be subject to a variable penalty APR of 31.24%, which applies until six consecutive, on time payments have been made.
To qualify for the introductory 0% APR offer, you must transfer your balance within 90 days of account opening. During this time, you’ll benefit from an introductory fee of $5 or 3% of the balance, whichever is greater. After that, the fee is $5 or 4% of the balance transfer amount.
PNC Core Card Availability
PNC Core is limited to states where PNC Bank has a physical branch. Those states are:
- District of Columbia
- New Jersey
- New York
- North Carolina
- South Carolina
- West Virginia
If you’re a resident elsewhere, you’ll have to consider other credit card options.
Are you feeling trapped by the high APR on your current card? If you live in a state with a PNC Bank branch, the PNC Core credit card is a good solution. You might be able to save hundreds to thousands of dollars every month by doing a balance transfer.
With PNC Core in hand, your best bet is to make a plan to pay off your debt within the first 15 billing cycles, while the introductory rate applies.
