The Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature credit card from Bank of America has 10,000 MyCruise bonus points as an introductory offer. To qualify, charge your first purchase to your card within the first 90 days of opening your account. There’s no minimum spend requirement to worry about. I value these 10k points at around $100. Although not the best bonus around, this card has no annual fee to carry. Compare this with other top card bonuses here.
*There’s also a $69 annual fee version of this card with a few more benefits.
The Celebrity Cruises credit card is very similar to its sister rewards card: Royal Caribbean Visa Signature. Both will get you the same welcome bonus as well as the same rewards rates on the same MyCruise points program. However, the Royal Caribbean version also offers a one-time airfare discount. So the Celebrity Cruises card slightly pales in comparison.
Both cards don’t offer a whole lot of value on everyday spending. Nor do they provide much in loyalty benefits. If you’re looking for a more rewarding card, consider a general travel credit card instead.
*The Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature Card is issued by Bank of America. See Bank of America’s Checking/Savings bonuses here.
Celebrity Cruises Credit Card 10,000 Bonus Points Offer
Take advantage of the Celebrity Cruises credit card’s introductory offer: 10,000 MyCruise bonus points. My valuation puts these points at around $100 (more on that below).
To qualify, charge your first purchase to your card within the first 90 days of opening your account. There’s no minimum spend requirement to worry about.
What Are MyCruise Points Worth?
Like many other points-based cards, the value of your rewards depends on how you use them. Each MyCruise point is worth around $0.01.
When it comes time to redeem your points, you have a variety of options, including:
- Stateroom upgrades
- Cruise discounts
- Cruise vacations
- Onboard credits or amenities
- Companion fares
- Charitable donations
Point values remain consistent across all redemption options. So no matter how you trade in your rewards, you’ll get the best value.
The Celebrity Cruises Visa Signature Card doesn’t come with any noteworthy perks other than its welcome bonus. Regular cruisers might get some value from this card. But most will find a flat-rate cash back credit card, or a non-branded travel rewards card, more rewarding.
