How Spin Works
Spin partners with cities, college campuses, community groups and businesses to provide dockless scooter-share services. Their electric scooters have a safe and sturdy design, a battery range of 37.5 miles, and top speeds of 15 miles per hour (due to the maximum legal speed limit).
Each Spin ride comes with a base fee of $1. On top of that, there’s a location-based fee (from $0.15 to $0.33) and a fee for every minute that you use the scooter.
To ride, simply sign up, load money into your account, locate a scooter near you and start your trip. When you’re done with your scooter, park it in a permitted area, and end your trip by swiping right on the Spin app.
All riders are required to be at least 18 years old, wear a helmet and tied sneakers, and inspect the scooter for proper charge and signs of excessive wear before operating.
