More On The $300 Travel Coupon
Previously, the Capital One Venture X card offered a $300 travel credit as a statement credit, but it is now transitioning into a $300 coupon for use during your purchases via the Capital One booking portal. This modification introduces a few noteworthy changes: Firstly, if you acquire a refundable ticket and decide to cancel it, you will receive the $300 credit in the form of a coupon for future travel rather than as a statement credit, meaning you won’t be able to retain the $300 as before. It may still be feasible to retain the credit with airlines that permit such cancellations. Additionally, you will no longer accrue extra points (5/10x) on the $300 expense, given that it is now treated as a coupon. Furthermore, the $300 spent will not contribute toward fulfilling your minimum spending requirement. This alteration implies a revised method for utilizing the credit when booking travel through Capital One’s portal.
