Starting January 1, 2023, Capital One Venture X Rewards cardholders will no longer have access to non-lounge airport experiences, such as dining, shopping, and spas.
Details
Unlimited access to lounges and airport experiences worldwide from Priority Pass is one of the nice perks Capital One Venture X Rewards cardholders enjoy. That benefit will change slightly. Capital One announced that non-lounge airport experiences, like discounts at restaurants, retail shops, and spas, are no longer a part of the Visa Infinite benefit program.
Getting discounts at participating restaurants was nice, worth as much as $30 savings per traveler. And getting a foot massage or taking a nap in a sleeping pod at a discount will be missed. But this negative change isn’t likely to be a big deal for most cardholders, who could still get access to 1400+ lounges that already offer food and many have sleeping areas and shower rooms.

Bottom Line
Getting fewer benefits is usually bad news but this one isn’t one to worry about. It really depends on your personal preferences and what’s available at the airports you frequent, but most people won’t even notice something changed.
