• A New Customer must open a new Rewards Checking account and complete three eligible purchases with the Rewards Checking debit card within 90 days to qualify as a “Qualified Referral.”
• The Referral Bonus amount is presented to the Existing Customer.
• Existing customers can access their unique referral link in the Refer a Friend Dashboard.
• Upgrade may disclose limited nonpublic personal information about the Existing Customer to the referred customer for Program purposes.

• Existing customers must have an open and in good standing Rewards Checking account to receive the Referral Bonus.
• Existing customers can earn a maximum of ten Referral Bonuses per calendar year.
• New Customers can receive a Welcome Bonus by using an Existing Customer’s unique referral link.
• New Customers must open a new Rewards Checking account and complete three eligible purchases with the Rewards Checking debit card within 90 days to qualify as a “Qualified Registration.”
• The Welcome Bonus amount is presented to the New Customer upon opening the Rewards Checking account.

Bottom Line

It’s nice that both the referrer and the referee can earn a bonus. The requirement to make three debit card purchases within 60 days seems manageable and can be easily achieved for most people.

The maximum number of Referral Bonuses you can earn in a calendar year is limited to 10, which can change depending on updates from Upgrade.
