Get a $10 bonus when you download the Bambino app using a referral link. Parents can use their bonus towards their first booking, while sitters will receive the bonus after completion of their first Bambino booking. You must be a first-time Bambino user in order to qualify.

How Bambino Works
Bambino connects parents and babysitters based on a social network of recommendations. The app works differently, based on your role as parent or sitter.
Bambino has two main functions for parents:
- To find nearby babysitters who have already sat for people you know.
- To save time without sacrificing peace of mind.
When parents register for Bambino, you have to sign up with your Facebook profile. The app uses social media to link you to other parents you know and see their “favorite” babysitters as well as read their reviews.
When searching for a babysitter, you can sort by sitters you already know, sitters your friends know and sitters by distance. Post a sitting job and pick who gets to see your request.
Sitters come at different levels and price points:
- Junior babysitter (13 – 15 years old)
- Standard babysitter (15 – 18 years old)
- Advanced babysitter (18+ years old)
- Elite babysitter (18+ years old & background checked)
The app also builds community by assigning managers in each neighborhood. If you have any questions, simply reach out to your community manager for advice.
Bambino charges 10% to use their app, and all prices you see will include this fee. For example, if a sitter sets their rate at $10, the cost is shown as $11.
Bambino babysitters set their own rates and schedules and connect with parents by requesting recommendations. Once you have one recommendation, you’ll be visible to neighborhood families and friends of those who recommended you. The more recommendations you have, the broader your network.
When you sign up as a Bambino babysitter, you have to connect your Facebook profile. Your Venmo or banking account information is also needed before you can accept a booking request.
All Bambino sitters agree to random profile reviews for quality and safety checks. That includes your Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. If you’ve completed a full background check, you’ll get a verified badge on your profile.
Time Tracking & Payment
The timer automatically starts at the scheduled booking time, but parents will need to stop the timer when the booking has been completed. Once that’s done, the parent’s payment will be processed automatically.
Parents can pay directly through the app using a credit card. The money is then deposited into the sitter’s bank or Venmo account.
