American Express Platinum cardholders have a chance to earn up to 10,000 Membership Rewards points for adding an authorized user to their account. If you are targeted, you can add at least one authorized user to your account and earn the bonus points when they spend $2,000 on their new card within the first six months.

Note that the annual fee for up to three additional Platinum Cards is $175, and each additional card after the first three costs the same. However, if you don’t need the additional Platinum Card benefits, you can add Additional Gold Cards for free.
