Eligibility Rules

• The new member cannot already be an LMCU member.
• The new member cannot have closed an LMCU account during the previous 180 days.
• Both the referring member and new member must be at least 18.
• Both must be legal residents of Michigan or Florida.
• The referring member must be the primary owner of an LMCU membership in good standing and have a valid email address on file.
• The new member must provide the email address used in the referral.

When Will the Bonuses Be Paid?

After the new member satisfies the program requirements, LMCU says it will deposit $193 into the referrer’s primary savings account and $193 into the new member’s primary savings account within 14 business days.

The referral reward may be reported to both participants on IRS Form 1099-MISC. Each recipient is responsible for applicable federal, state, and local taxes.
