Your examples are misleading. The 3.95 purchase fee is for the $25 gift cards. If you are purchasing a $100 gift card the purchase fee is higher. Normally by this time of the year Amex offers to waive 100% of all the purchase fees if you purchase at least $200 in gift cards and I have been taking advantage of that offer every year. This year I am not seeing anything but $3.95 off each gift card purchase which is forcing me to consider purchasing restaurant or movie gift cards which have no fees.

Called and got “phone501” to save $3.95 off the purchase fees per card. Saves most of the purchase fee cost, though each card’s purchase fee is $4.95, so $1.00 per card. Better than nothing if you need to order AMEX gift cards.
Forgot to mention it said the expiration was Sept. 30 for this code.
