Gorillas Features

Gorillas claims to deliver groceries within 10 minutes. The company is able to accomplish this with their network of small warehouses, all strategically located within delivery range. These warehouses are stocked with around 2,000 to 2,500 grocery and essential goods, ranging from fresh produce and milk to cat litter, all at retail prices. Depending on where you live, options might also include artisan foods from local businesses.
The delivery fee is a flat $1.80 for all orders, and there is no minimum purchase requirement. Gorillas accepts any major credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Unlike most food and grocery delivery apps that rely on gig workers, such as Instacart and Doordash, Gorillas employs all of their bike riders who fulfill orders. These couriers are paid $15 minimum wage, healthcare, and benefits, and they’re provided with bikes and gear.
In New York City, Gorillas has also teamed up with Rethink Food, a nonprofit that collects potential food waste and turns it into nutritious meals for distribution though other community-based organizations.
Bottom Line
If you live in New York City, Gorillas gives you another option for grocery delivery. It’s fast, it features local brands, and it’s a flat $1.80 for each delivery.
Don’t live in New York City? Walmart is another grocery option. They boast low prices and convenient pickup service. Walmart is currently offering a $10 welcome bonus.
