First Citizens Rewards Business Card 10,000 Bonus Points Offer
Take advantage of the First Citizens Rewards Business card’s 10,000 bonus points offer, worth $100 in rewards (more on that below).
To qualify, register for accelerated rewards and charge at least $3,000 to your card within the first 90 days of opening your account.
Here are some ideas on meeting the spending requirement.
What Are First Citizens Rewards Points Worth?
Each point is worth $0.01, which means 100 points equals $1 when you redeem. When it comes time to use your First Citizen Rewards points, you have a variety of options, including:
- Statement credits
- Airline tickets, hotel stays, car rentals, cruises and tours
- Retail gift cards and certificates
- Charitable donations
If your company is registered for accelerated rewards, you can redeem 50,000 points for one continental flight priced below $1,000. But you must book that flight at least 21 days in advance and it must include a Saturday night stay. If redeemed this way, your points could be worth as much as $0.02 apiece.
First Citizens Rewards Business Card Availability
The First Citizens Rewards Business card is only available to companies that operate near a First Citizens Bank. That includes businesses in:
- North Carolina
- New Mexico
- South Carolina
- West Virginia
Otherwise, you’ll want to consider business credit cards that are available nationwide.
No matter which rewards program you’re considering – regular or accelerated – the First Citizens Rewards Business card just doesn’t cut it.
At the no-annual-fee level, you’ll get very low earning potential and a three-year expiration date on your points.
At the accelerated tier, you’ll have to cough up $150 a year. You could get a lot more value out of other business rewards cards with a pricetag like that.
