Click below for a list of the most popular credit cards overall in the market this current month.
Best Card Sign-Up Bonuses
Probably the most popular category. These cards offer the best sign-up bonuses and offers. All of the best bonus offers are going to required that you have Excellent credit, so check your score first if you’re not sure.
Best Business Credit Cards
Business credit card are an essential tool in building your Business Credit Score, which is different than your Personal Credit Score. Business cards also offer some of the most lucrative bonuses around. Read more about Business cards here.
Best Rewards Credit Cards
My personal favorite type of credit card. I always recommend having 1 great Rewards credit card as your everyday use to build up your rewards points/miles. Plenty cards offer sign-up bonuses also. More about Rewards cards.

Best Cash Back Credit Cards
My second most favorite type of card. While I prefer Rewards credit cards because they typically have better sign-up bonuses, several Cash Back cards also offer a decent Cash bonus. Read more about Cash Back cards here.
Best Travel/Airline /Credit Cards
Honestly, I apply for at least one Travel/Airline credit card a year. I do this for the sign-up bonus miles(for flights) or points(for hotels). Usually it’s more like 2-3 cards a year.
Each year, I cancel the cards that I no longer use and have already gotten the bonus from, then I’ll sign-up for a new one for the bonus.
I’ve done both hotel and airline cards before, but I much prefer a generic Travel rewards cards for more flexibility in booking with different airlines and hotel brands. If you typically fly with the same airline or stay at the same hotel family of brands, then a branded card would be better for you.
Best Balance Transfer Credit Cards
Balance Transfer cards were essential in my early years, helping me to manage my debt more properly. There are always plenty of great card options that offer a 0% introductory APR for a year or more. More about Balance Transfer cards.
Best Low Interest Credit Cards
In this category, you’re either going to find credit cards that offer a low ongoing interest rate on Purchases, or an introductory offer for no interest for a set time(usually around a year).
These cards are good for when you know you’ll have to carry a monthly balance due to larger foreseen purchases. Just be sure to pay the monthly minimum so that you don’t default on the great rates. These offers are most popular during the holiday season.
Best Student Credit Cards
Student credit cards are great for the college student in their route to building a solid credit history. They don’t require Excellent credit like the most popular cards on the market, so they offer fewer bonuses/rewards. More about Student Credit Cards here.
Options For Bad Credit
These cards are for those who can’t get approved for the other popular offers. Popular cards are “unsecured” credit cards, while “secured” credit cards are those that don’t require good credit as they use your own money to “secure” your spending limit.
The benefit of secured cards over no card is that your usage is reported to the credit bureaus, which in turn helps to build your credit back up.
