Hilton Honors has announced that Weekend Night Reward certificates can now be used on any night of the week indefinitely. They previously allowed this during the pandemic.
From now on, these will be known as Hilton Free Night Rewards. Great news for Hilton Amex card holders.
Hilton Free Night Rewards Details
High-end Hilton Amex card holders can earn Weekend Night Rewards, which are now called Free Night Rewards. In particular, you can get a certificate for a free night by using any of the following Hilton Amex cards:
- Get a free night every year with the Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card. Also, after spending $60,000 in a year, cardholders can get another Free Night Reward.
- With the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card, if you spend $15,000 in a year, you get a free night.
- With the Hilton Honors American Express Business Card, if you spend $15,000 in a calendar year, you get a free night. Then, after spending a total of $60,000 in a year, you’ll get another Free Night Reward.
Hilton doesn’t put a limit on how many points a free night certificate can be worth. Some Hilton free nights cost up to 150,000 Hilton Honors points, but you can still use a free night certificate for one of those nights.
Previously The Hilton Weekend Night Rewards
For a long time, Hilton cardholders could only use Weekend Night Rewards on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday nights, as the name suggested. Hilton Honors let people use these certificates on any night of the week in 2021 and 2022.
Now, that change is being made permanent, and certificates are being renamed “Free Night Rewards” to reflect this.
Free Night Rewards can now be used any night of the week, but certificates can still only be used to book a standard room. Not included are premium rooms.
Also, these free night certificates aren’t accepted at a few dozen hotels and resorts.
Nice to see they’ve made the free nights rewards more flexible for the long term.
