FNB Think Bank has 8 branches currently in the Kentucky area, so this $250 bank promotion is only for these residents. *If you’re not a KY resident, see all the other bank promotions here you may qualify for.
If you are local to one of these branches, I think this is a pretty cool program to check out. It works just like how the Bank of America Keep The Change program used to work (this program from BOA no longer has the bonus match, however).
How AutoSave Gets You $250…
The AutoSave program from FNB Think Bank works in conjunction with the Checking & Savings accounts from FNB. Basically, it lets you earn bonus money with every use of your debit card.
Everytime you use your debit card for a purchase, the transaction will be rounded up to the nearest dollar. That difference is then sent to your FNB Savings account. Yes, that difference is your own money taken from your Checking account, that will then get deposited into your Savings account. It’s kind of forcing you to save your own money. 😎
The neat thing about the program is this – FNB will match 100% of those savings for the first 3 months, and 6% after the first 3 month period. The maximum that they will match for the year is $250 in free bonus money!
The minimum deposit required to open an account is $100, and you must keep a $100 minimum balance to avoid the monthly fee.
$3/month fee if account falls below the minimum balance.
$2 per each excess withdrawal
*ATM, phone, and internet transactions are not eligible to round up.
*FNB will match 100% of the qualifying transactions for the first 3 months starting on the date of account opening. The matching funds will be credited to the AutoSave account at the end of the 3 month period. If the account is closed before the end of the 3 month period, the matching funds are lost.
*FNB will match 6% of the qualifying transactions after the 3 month period has ended. The matching funds will be credited to the AutoSave account at the calendar quarter end. If the account is closed before the end of the calendar quarter, the accrued matching funds are lost.
*Maximum matching amount per year is $250.
